Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday issued a strong warning to Pakistan-sponsored terrorists, asserting that any further attacks on India would be met with a fierce response. Speaking at multiple election rallies in Darbhanga, Motihari, and Bettiah in Bihar, Shah declared, “If they repeat their mistake, goli ka jawab goley se diya jayega” — meaning, cannons will answer bullets.
Shah revealed that explosives and defence equipment to counter terrorists will be manufactured in Bihar’s upcoming Defence Corridor, emphasizing that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India will not tolerate terrorism. He recalled the Pahalgam terror attack, where terrorists targeted civilians, saying, “They wiped off the sindoor from our mothers’ and sisters’ foreheads, but PM Modi avenged it with Operation Sindoor within 20 days. The Indian Army neutralized the terrorists on Pakistan’s soil.”
The Union Minister sharply criticized the previous Congress regime, claiming it failed to protect the nation’s security, unlike the BJP-led government which is “committed to the safety and dignity of every citizen.”
Targeting RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and his son Tejashwi Yadav, Shah accused them of glorifying the late Mohammad Shahabuddin, who was infamous for lawlessness during RJD’s 15-year rule. “They dream of bringing back jungle raj, but the people of Bihar won’t allow it,” he said, urging voters to support the BJP by pressing the lotus button in the upcoming November 6 elections.
Continuing his attack on the opposition, Shah alleged that Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ was an attempt to “protect infiltrators,” reiterating that the government would continue its mission to drive out illegal immigrants.
Highlighting development plans, Shah promised that if the NDA returns to power, ₹26,000 crore would be invested to harness the Koshi river for irrigation and flood control. He assured that people of Mithila, Koshi, and Tirhut regions would no longer need to travel to Patna or Delhi for treatment, with the establishment of AIIMS Darbhanga and new medical and engineering colleges in every district within the next five years.
The minister also announced an IT park in Darbhanga to create job opportunities for youth and the revival of over 20 closed sugar mills in Bihar, along with setting up five new ones.
Shah accused the RJD-Congress alliance of insulting “Chhathi Maiya,” a revered deity in Bihar, asserting that “Bihar’s people will avenge the insult through their votes.”
From Mahatma Gandhi’s karmabhoomi, Champaran, Amit Shah proclaimed that Naxalism would be completely eradicated by March 31, 2026, adding that the land of Bihar will become a symbol of peace and progress.
Concluding his address, Shah said, “The people of Bihar have seen the difference — under Lalu-Rabri’s rule, there was chaos and fear; under Modi and Nitish Kumar, there is peace and development. Bihar will continue to move forward with the NDA.”
